Miami, queen of the night in the United States? It is in any case a title to which its inhabitants jealously claim. Its tropical climate and its 3100 hours of sunshine per year probably explain why Miami has always had the party in its skin. Also, the proximity of Cuba and the Caribbean and the jet-setter scene strongly contribute to make this city a world-renowned destination for night owls.
However, the plethora of bars and clubs makes it difficult to choose when it comes to going out. Here is a review of the hotspots we have tested and approved.
Summary:
South beach: the most popular parties
Miami Rooftops: breathtaking views
Latin music: the center of the world
South beach: the hottest parties
Without a doubt, South Beach is the most prominent place for Miami's party people. Day and night, the place gathers the most chic and crazy parties of the city.
Nikki Beach, 1 Ocean Dr, Miami Beach
Ideally located on South Beach, Nikki Beach has been its landmark since 1998. It has become mythical thanks to its complex of nightclub, bar and restaurant on the beach, and is so mythical that it has been exported around the world, to Saint-Tropez, Marbella or Bangkok.
Story, 136 Collins Ave, Miami Beach
In the center of Miami beach, the Story has become one of the high places of the party thanks to its line-up gathering the best DJs of the world, with DJ Khaled, David Guetta... Comparable to the club Amnesia in Ibiza, many stars rush there each year to meet in the VIP area. Small purse abstain!
LIV, 4441 Collins Ave, Miami Beach
Comparable to the Story, the LIV club, located on Miami Beach in the Fontainebleau hotel, is one of the high places of the night party of Miami, also gathering the Hollywood elite for wild parties. Justin Bieber, the Kardashians and Leonardo DiCaprio are all there. Therefore, booking a table is a luxury that few can afford. Count on a minimum price of 1,000 dollars per table.
Rooftops in Miami: breathtaking views
Miami's climate allows rooftops to flourish throughout the city, whether for drinks, food or parties.
Bloom at the Langford Hotel, 121 SE 1st St, Miami
Located downtown, the Langford Hotel offers one of the best rooftops in the city. Here you can enjoy the Miami skyline while sipping excellent cocktails. We particularly appreciate the care given to the decoration, in a modern and tasteful design style.
Skyline Deck at The Betsy Hotel, 1440 Ocean Dr, Miami Beach
If you like art deco and cocktails, you're in the right place! The setting is extremely chic, but most of the guests regularly dance to Cuban music or the latest hits. Watch out for the Betsy Hotel's regular special theme nights.
No.3 Social, 50 NW 24th St, Miami
Located in Wynwood, No.3 Social has become one of the city's hot spots thanks to the talent of its chef, Norman Van Aken, who offers an appetizer menu accompanied by a full cocktail menu that is absolutely delicious. Don't leave without trying the Gardener's Tostada, an absolute delight. If you add to this the DJ, alternative rock or Cuban music concerts, this place has our favor for relaxing after a long day of sightseeing and shopping.
Latin music: the center of the world?
The proximity to South America has a huge cultural influence on what you eat and hear in Miami. Perhaps the wildest parties that Latinos are known for are in Miami, which offers a full range of Latin parties, from Latin jazz to Afro-Cuban fusion to modern Cuban electro.
Hoy Como Ayer, 2212 SW Eighth St., Miami
Not to be missed! This is the Cuban population's favorite place to attend concerts in Miami. All the stars of Latin music are here. The tacos are delicious and the atmosphere is always great, from Thursday to Sunday.
Calle Ocho Festival, between SW 8th Street and 27th Avenue, Miami
If you're in Miami in March, during Carnival, then this is a must-see! The best Latin artists of the city and the country gather there in a crazy atmosphere. The festival has reached a worldwide fame and it is often here that we hear for the first time the hits that will endiabler the dance-floors the following summer. We love it!
La Covacha, 10730 NW 25th St, Doral
The Latino population has been flocking here for 20 years to see rumba bands. The atmosphere is literally crazy on Friday and Saturday. We particularly appreciate the authenticity of the place, a little less known by the tourists.
