Visit the Burj Khalifa
The Burj Khalifa is of course the ultimate attraction of the city of Dubai. Inaugurated in 2010, the Burj Khalifa reaches 828 meters in height and remains the tallest building ever built by man.
The tower offers a breathtaking view of the city, both during the day and especially at night, when the entire Downtown Dubai area is illuminated. A visit to the tower offers the opportunity to take a tour of the aquarium and dine in top-notch establishments, with an extraordinary view.
The beaches of Jumeirah
Located north of the marina, the Jumleirah area is without a doubt one of the best places to enjoy the beach, public or private to some hotels, such as the Burj al Arab, one of the most luxurious in the world. It is the sail-shaped tower, well known by luxury magazines, and is indeed worth a visit for its original structure and its location in the middle of the water.
The color of the water on Jumeirah's beaches is postcard-perfect, and ideal for a full day's stay with the family or as a couple.
Water parks and winter sports
In Dubai, you can alternate between the best water parks in the world and skiing in the summer.
As far as water parks are concerned, Aquaventure Atlantis is the largest in the world. It's impossible not to have a great time with your family, full of laughter, in the slides that are as vast and disproportionate as the Burj Khalifa!
As far as winter sports are concerned, you should know that it is possible to ski, in any season, in the Mall of Dubai. If it is "indoor" skiing, the park offers 5 ski slopes by level of difficulty. A unique experience for sure.
Shopping at the Dubai Mall
Shopping is part of the city's DNA: huge shopping malls are part of the city's scenery, in every district. The Dubai Mall, the world's largest shopping mall, houses both the city's largest aquarium and the world's largest indoor ski resort.
Even more than its vastness, or the possibility of finding just about any store imaginable, it's the architecture that takes your breath away, and makes the shopping experience feel like a sightseeing tour!
Desert excursions
Dubai gets much of its charm from being an oasis in the middle of the desert. Culture lovers should take a trip on one of Dubai's desert safaris, crossing the dunes on camelback or in a 4x4.
It's possible to visit oases and authentic Bedouin villages from the city on a day trip.
