Saint-Tropez, emblem and jewel of the French Riviera. The small fishing village is now world famous thanks to the glamour immortalised by Brigitte Bardot, its gendarme incarnated by Louis de Funès and its living environment, equidistant between luxury and nature.
In addition to the idyllic setting, Saint-Tropez is a dynamic town where there is no lack of activities. La Maison iKeys – specialising in luxury property investment – reveals its favourites.

Stroll on the port
This is the must-see of any visit to the village, and one that the locals never tire of: the port of Saint-Tropez is the meeting point for locals, tourists, fishermen and yacht owners.
You can stop to admire the yachts, have a coffee at Sennéquier's while admiring the most beautiful sailing ships in Europe, taste an artisanal ice cream at Barbarac's, and go shopping in the many small boutiques along the port.
Nowhere is the art of living in the Tropezian style better than in the port.
Cruise in the Gulf
Once in the port, it is obviously tempting to set sail. To appreciate the magnificent setting of the region, there is nothing better than to embark on a cruise, by sailboat or yacht. You can discover the Gulf of Saint-Tropez by sea, with its magnificent bays which have been the setting for films such as "Le Gendarme de Saint-Tropez" or even the television series "Sous le soleil", which many people still remember... for the scenery!
Depending on the cruise, you can also discover some of the neighbouring villages, Grimmaud and Sainte-Maxime in particular, which are full of authentic charm and less frequented than Saint-Tropez.
Going out in clubs
It's no secret that Saint-Tropez is the place to be for the jet-set on the Côte d'Azur, where they party all night long in luxury clubs. Although you don't need a yacht to get in, the selection at the entrance is worthy of its reputation. So be sure to dress up!
Once inside, you can enjoy the unparalleled sense of fun at the legendary Caves du Roy with its illuminated palm trees, or the VIP Room, Jean Roch's favourite club and celebrity hangout, where you can dance amongst the richest foreign population in the Mediterranean.
The market
The timeless charm of Saint-Tropez owes much to its famous Place des Lices, where one usually meets the local boulistes, in the shade of the plane trees, except on Tuesdays and Thursdays: then the stalls of the merchants unfold, offering to the onlookers and to the locals the possibility of tasting the local flavours, olives, vegetables of the sun and truffles, as well as meeting the creators of the area, to buy a hat or a straw basket.
This is a must-see and we highly recommend it!
Visit the town and the surrounding area
The Saint-Tropez area offers its visitors the enchantment of some historical gems, always framed by pine trees, cypresses and the azure blue of the sea that goes with the sun.
One of our favourites is the bell tower of the parish church of Notre-Dame de l'Assomption. The Italian baroque church with its colourful facades regularly hosts classical music concerts. It also houses interiors decorated with beautiful carved woodwork and the bust of Saint-Tropez during the annual local festival, the Bravade, which is not to be missed.
Finally, we cannot conclude the tour of the village's must-sees without mentioning its magnificent citadel, a 17th-century bastion that sits enthroned on the peninsula. With its moats, dungeons and counterscarps, the Citadel contains much of the history of the village, which was once the third largest French port on the Mediterranean. Its nose also recounts a fascinating maritime history.
