Arrive at the St. Regis Hotel
In what was once the city's tallest skyscraper is one of, if not the most, luxurious hotels in New York. Crystal chandeliers, marble staircases, the decoration oscillates between classicism and modernity, and reflects the desire of its creator, John Jacob Astor IV, to create the most beautiful hotel in the world.
Of course, the view from any room is breathtaking, and the service, made up of the finest hotel schools in the country, is reputed to be the best in the city.
Morning shopping at Bergdorf Goodman on Fifth Avenue
It is the dream of every designer starting out in the luxury industry: presenting his or her collections at Bergdorf Goodman is a real coup. Chanel, Saint-Laurent, Armani, Versace or Dior present the best of their creations in previews.
The place has become even more emblematic with the documentary Scatter My Ashes at Bergdorf's, in which Anna Wintour, Karl Lagerfeld and Marc Jacobs give each other a line. House tip: as a guest of the St Regis, you have 24-hour access.
Lunch at Eleven Madison Park
After a morning of shopping, head to one of the world's top five restaurants, a temple of gastronomy. Michelin-starred chef Daniel Humm and charismatic host Will Guidara prepare a delectable ten-course meal that combines the technicality of French gastronomy with an inimitable New York flair.
Note: the menu has recently become completely vegan. A revival that has been hailed by the culinary press. But don't forget to make a reservation, as some celebrities have a pass.
Digestion with a view... from the helicopter
After your luxury lunch, take a trip to Liberty Helicopter Tours. Even if it's a quick ride, the view is so breathtaking that twenty minutes high above Manhattan and the Statue of Liberty seems like forever.
Too cliché? Maybe, but those who have done it know: you never forget such an experience.
Head for Broadway
This is a must, regardless of social class, age or taste in clothing. The music halls of Broadway will whet your appetite for life and the city like few other experiences.
At the moment, Aladdin is the hit of the show, what do you think?
Enjoy the cuisine of Masa Takayama
A bit of simplicity restored... in the most expensive restaurant in town, but arguably the most delicate. Chef Masa Takayama opened his restaurant in the early 2000s and has been a success ever since. It was the first starred Japanese restaurant in the United States.
An ode to the senses of the taste buds and the eyes, the chef offers Shibui cuisine, a very special Japanese aesthetic sense.
Final touch at Aviary NYC
Before returning to the hotel, we head for Aviary NYC, undoubtedly one of the most beautiful cocktail bars in the city. The decoration, worthy of the most beautiful episodes of Mad Men, gives the line to the view, which is again fantastic. The luxurious bar room is set alight by the pyrotechnic performances of the bartenders who make the mixtures before your eyes.
There is no doubt that this is where we recommend you end this beautiful New York day.
